Who's the mole? |
Lead | |

We know there's a mole in the Organization, trying to bring it down from the inside, according to the new GN series.
Who is it? (Result)

Currently voting for Elle. I don't think it was just a test, but I think Elle's decided to help Noah bring it down after what her Daddy did to Brain
Boy.

I'm also voting for someone we don't know.....though I think it is possible that Nathan and Peter are in on bringing down the company, and Peter would
have the skills.

DAMMIT DEAS!!!! Now I am going to have to kill all of you!
But seriously...I think it is someone we don't know as well. How can it be Claude? Claude is completely off the reservation and even with his invisible powers, if he was inside of the building they would know he was there. |

Shang, I see you're having some issue with Evs Dropper being Claude...
First the obvious stuff. The poster over at 9thWonders, Evsdropr who is Evs Dropper from the show uses a promotional picture for the movie "The Invisible Man" starring Claude Rains. The comic intros commonly refrence "An unseen hand" when referring to Evs Dropper. One of the email riddles that says Evs is as old as Benjamin Franklin was when he retired from printing, which is sometime in his 40's. Then the not so obvious. An email from Evs: Good ole Noah, always full of surprises. He and the Haitian always have a few tricks up their sleeve, see them here - http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/. Sounds like someone who is familiar with Noah and his "surprises." Also, Claude as an invisible man is an ideal eaves dropper, he talks about being in peoples bedrooms and whatnot. How could have someone placed a gun under the right table in that diner for Donna to find it? It had to be placed after they sat... And then my character analysis. I think the date Bennet joined up was a few years before he got Claire, 2-3 years. Somewhere around 1987-1988. Which means Bennet and Claude had been partners for at least 3 years before the incident on the bridge, but quite possibly they had been partners for 5 years or more. Enough time to build a friendship which would ultimately be undone by Bennet's convictions to the company and to his orders. Now the Company also knows that Claude is alive. No matter how good job of staying hidden he does he knows that they have new ways of tracking people. So what is a man to do when he can no longer run? He fights. Claude has no one to turn to and to bring down this organization he is going to need help. He knows the ins and outs of how they do business. Who the agents are, where they go, and how they operate. He knows that if he's going to get recuits he needs to get them "fresh." Hence Donna, but she is simply a pawn. While stomping around in the Company archives, or files, he stumbles across Bennet's insolence as a result of him trying to protect his family. "What would you do if it was Claire?" Well now it is Claire, and Claude can see that Bennet is the man he always thought he was. Claude recuits Noah, they reconcile to a degree, and now Claude has two of the three. I think the last recuitment was The German because of his TREMENDOUS power. For The German not to kill Evs Dropper in the bank I fell like there had to be some kind of proof of worth presented by Evs. I imagine that to be a simple task for an invisible man. Claude needs the German to do the kind of damage to the infrastructure of the Company, explosions can be messy... implosions on the other hand... And after all this... How in the world could Noah be in Berlin while locked up? How could he be calling Donna while strapped to a table (or dead)? It is IMPOSSIBLE for Bennet to be Evs Dropper unless he's picked up astral projection suddenly. So, I totally open the door for it to be Neuenberg, Elle, or even Moh who wouldn't have had much trouble planting that gun in an Indian restaurant as their waiter. Could even be the Haitian because he wouldn't have much trouble staying "invisible" as well as being able to hang around the German without fear of impalement. But the point remains from our clues that this person is in their forties. The only person we've met in the show that fits all these criteria (aside from like Peter from the future) is Claude. Based on the correspondance with Evs Dropper through email and at 9thWonders, and their presence in the comic, I feel he is the most likely person right now. The one with the means, the motive, and the opportunity.

I have a major question: Why are we still assuming that Evs is someone we've met in the show? There's nothing to indicate he/she is, and plenty to
indicate he/she isn't.
I'm no longer convinced that Elle is Evs- in fact, I'm more and more convinced she isn't. For obvious reasons, Noah doesn't work. For equally obvious (IMHO anyway) reasons, Claude doesn't work. It's someone with the freedom to move through the Company, without any real fear of getting caught. They know how to manipulate people. ![]()

Synch wrote: I made the assumption because all this can be something to think about or nothing to think about. If this is a person we haven't seen yet then there really isn't much to think or talk about. Motive could be anything. Power could be anything. Person could be any of 6 billion+. So the reason for me thinking it is Claude has to do with having something concrete to consider as much as it does pure evidence. I may ultimately be wrong, but I'll take my likely suspects over a ghost.

I can see your logic KP, but I am not convinced. And that is mainly because it would not be Claude's style to bring down the company. Now if it was
revealed that he was working with Noah off screen, perhaps, but the way Eves Dropper recruited the "metal manipulator" in Berlin; again, it just
doesn't scream out Claude to me. He has always struck me as one that would walk on the lighter side of the gray.
I would agree with you Synch on ED not being somebody we hae ever seen on the show or in the novels, but IMO it just seems that it would be a let down in the end if it turned out to be somebody we have never heard of. I really have no clues at the moment as to who it might be. But it is clearly somebody who has no problem walking on the darker side of the spectrum. |

I initially thought Elle, but have been forced to reconsider. It doesn't fit her.
Noah's completely out. He may be advising/helping/in communication, but he's not in a position to be Evs. (Plus, he would have known the reaction to having Donna put next to him.) Claude's not in a position, physically or emotionally, to go after the Company. He's running, fast and hard, in the opposite direction. Without one heck of a change, he's not going to be tearing the Company down. I think we've met Evs, actually. I just don't think we realize it- and I'm certain we met them in the GN, not the show. Recently, I started to consider a synthesis of Hana/Drucker/Neuenberg, but that's seeming less likely as we go on. ![]()
