DISCLAMER: I do not own Heroes in any way shape or form. I do however own Amy and any other characters that you have not ever heard about.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I came up with an early draft of this story shortly after season 1 ended. In all rights I loved how the second season went and this is not
in any attempt to say my version is better. It's just how it came out when I was writing it. Thank you.

CHAPTER ONE
The night was pitch black as it feel apon a small apartment bedroom. Everything seemed normal about the room except for the picture frames
that seemed to be everywhere. Some showing a small girl with unruly brown curls and soft hazel eyes laughing while eating an ice cream cone. Others
showing the same girl at parties and with her friends and mother. Others showed her getting older filled with prom pictures, graduation awards, and
stages of life that showed the same person but only much more mature. Sleeping under a heavy quilt Amy Ferris was snoring lightly her long curly
hair even more unruly now that she was asleep. Her alarm clock showed that it was a little after midnight as a loud bang awoke her from her sleep.
Getting up Amy looked around her bedroom for any sign of the noise, sitting up in her bed she turned on the light only to see nothing as another loud
thump occured making her gasp loudly her voice echoing from the walls of her room. Gently Amy got out of her bed and slowly walked over to her
closet opening it and grabbing her baseball bat a gift from an ex boyfriend who thought she might need some protection. Trying to get her curls out of
her face Amy walked out of the bedroom wondering how a burgalar was going to be intimidated by a five foot seven woman with unruly brown hair a
blue spegetti strap nightgown and worse of all she was ten pounds overweight. At least that was always her thought while others just scoffed saying
that she looked fine. Walking on the balls of her feet Amy walked through her small living room and into the adjorning kitchen still looking for anyone
that was banging on her walls or her windows. After looking around and seeing nothing Amy just sighed feeling stupid for getting so scared over
nothing. And practically jumping out of her skin as she heard a loud groan from behind her door.
"Great." said Amy as she tightened her grip on the bat and walked over to her front door. Each step she took she gave a small tremor of fear go
through her as she made her way over to the door. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves she opened the door and screamed as a body fell onto her
floor. The second thing Amy did was cover her mouth and nose from the putrid smell that was coming off of the man. Kneeling down all the while
still holding her bat she looked at the man who was now on her floor. He had sewage all over his face and his hair was matted down sticking in every
way possible. Amy however froze as she noticed the pool of blood that was forming on her kitchen floor and as her sleepy brain began to kick in."Oh
my God. Gabriel." shouted Amy as she dropped the bat and raced over to her phone and dialed 911.
"Hello operater this is Amy Ferris. I live on third avenue building 182 and I'm in room 312. A man just feel down he's covered in sewage and he's
bleeding badly you have to hurry." shouted Amy as she looked over to Gabriel all the while her mind racing on what could have happened to him.
Three hours. Three hours and Amy was practically ready to tackle a nurse and demand that they tell her what was going on with her friend. Sitting
Amy pulled the hair tie out of her hair and tried to straighten her hair giving her something to do before giving up and pulling her hair into another
messy ponytail. After Gabriel had been taken away she had changed into an old college jersey and a pair of jeans and shoes before getting into her car
and breaking every speed law possible. All the while her mind was trying to place the Gabriel she had seen to the one she had known in high school.
The fact that he had facial hair and no glasses was one reason she told herself as to why she did not recognize him sooner. That and she had spent
most of the night overlooking her files. Amy's mind was however brought back into reality as a doctor came into the room.
"Hello are you the one who called about your friend?" asked the doctor.
"Yes I'm Amy Farris." said Amy getting up from her chair.
"I'm Dr. Bailey. Ms. Farris..." started Dr. Bailey.
"Oh it's Dr. Farris. I'm a child psychologist." said Amy.
"My applogies Dr. Farris. Now your friend had a very weird stab wound almost like he was run through with a sword. The fact that he lost so much
blood and was still able to walk over to where you were was amazing." said Dr. Bailey.
"Is Gabriel going to be okay?" asked Amy scared that she may have been to late to save Gabriel.
"No he's in recovery right now. He has a very strong will that one." said Dr. Bailey.
"Can I see him?" asked Amy.
"Well usually visiting hours are over by this time but given tonights circumstances I would think that would be all right. He's on the fifth floor room
seven." said Dr. Bailey.
"Thank you." said Amy as she walked out of the waiting room and towards the elevator.
"Some night this has been." said Dr. Bailey as he sat down. In this night alone they had to handle two people with gunshot wounds. He still felt
horrible for the woman who he had to tell had lost her husband and the smile that the little girl had when he told her that her hero was going to be
safe. And now a man who seemed to have been stabbed by a sword and brought in by a psychiatrist. Tonight was indeed going to be a night to
remember for Dr. Bailey.
Amy walked casually into the room and placed a hand over her mouth as she saw Gabriel laying on the bed. He was hooked to tubes and wires that
seemed to be all over his body. Walking closer Amy noticed a bandage over his entire stomach that had some traces of blood on it. Swallowing her
fear Amy pulled a chair closer to Gabriel and took his hand.
"Gabriel I'm here. It's me Amy." said Amy soothingly while her thumb was rubbing circles on his hand. She however froze when she felt Gabriel
tighten his grip.
"Gabriel your okay." said Amy with a smile and tears forming that she had been holding since this strange night had begun.
"Where am I?" asked Gabriel weakly.
"Your in the hospital. You lost a lot of blood." said Amy as Gabriel looked over at her and smiled weaked.
"Amy long time no see." said Gabriel before he started to cough really badly.
"Oh God. Don't worry I'll get you something to drink. And you probably shouldn't be talking right now. It's amazing that your even awake." said
Amy as she got up grabbing a plastic cup and going to the table to fill it with water. Amy however did not notice how Gabriel's eyes suddenly
became predatory as he looked at her cocking his head to his side studying her closely. He could feel it in every part of his body no ever cell of his
being. Dear sweet Amy had an ability and he felt a powerful need to take it for himself. Getting up Sylar hissed in pain from his stab wound causing
him to fall back to the bed as he gasped to take in air. Amy had a power and he was not yet strong enough to take it. However he knew how this
game would play. He played it with Chandra and with Mohinder and countless others. All he needed to do was wait for his wounds to heal and to
discover what Amy's power was and then, then the fun would really begin.
Okay that was chapter one I hope that everyone enjoyed it. Please feel free to review and tell me what you think. I will try to update as much as I can.
